Earl,

the wreck at night? Catalina has seven species of Gobies (SP?) found no where
else in the more ….

Yup! I've been diving both since '72. The wreck in Laguna is about 60' or so
depending on the tide. It's a smaller oil tanker or cargo of some sort. It's a
ways out and fairly hard to find. The people at the dive shop can point the
way. I suggest going with 4 or more people. Six or eight is a good number and
makes it easier / quicker to find.
The islands are the best diving off our coast I think. Stay on the east facing
beaches. (Not as much wind or choppyness.) There are dive boats that go out
practically every weekend. Cheap and very fun.
In san diego there are dives you can take in shark cages. I have never gone,
mostly because I can't get anyone to go with me! If you ever have the
urge…I'd love to go do that. I'll be bait for a day what the heck. <G>

sounds cool! I'd love to fraternize with the sharks in San Diego. Let's arrange
something. Any time this summer is probably cool.
Cool! I'll get the info and get back to you. 🙂

I look forward to it <g>
Hey guys… I've been diving for 17 years and now I'm gettin' involved with you

there's a lot of divers amongst the forum regulars here. Even Gary Yost and Dan
Silva (core Yost Group members and developers of 3d Studio) dive occasionally.
I think we all need to get away from computers and commune with nature every
now and again.
I actually skydive more often than scuba, although I only get to go skydiving a
couple of times a month.

PMFJI, but…. Dan Silva? The guy who wrote Deluxe Paint on the Amiga? How
does he fit into the 3DS story?
BTW, I, too am a scuba diver!

I think I mentioned that he is one of the core members of the Yost Group which
develops 3ds. If you have a copy of 3ds, just look at the info menu "About 3d
Studio" option and you'll notice he, along with Tom Hudson, are the actual
copyright holders of 3ds.
Martin… (fyi) Tom Hudson's the dude who got us into diving in the first
place, and now Jack, Dan and myself are all into it. (although I've been so
busy for the past 18 months that I've probably forgotten how to put on a reg.)

Gary,
>> Tom Hudson's the dude who got us into diving in the first place <<
ah hah! Tom's the culprit, eh? Thanks for that bit of "Group" trivia. Maybe you
should make it a pre-requisite for future members.
>> so busy for the past 18 months … forgotten how to put on a reg <<
so you'd probably blink a couple of times if somebody offered to put their
octupus in your mouth <G> <Ho ho>.

Hoo-Wa!
You guys are out of control!!! So, where do I sigh up? <WEG> Didn't I run into
you guys at Carlos n' Charlies on Cozumel <Oh-Pah!>, or was it at the Lone Star
on Cayman? Who can keep it all straight… lol Hey, I'm planning my next
excursion (for Sept.) and I was wondering if you guys had any recomendations
for really obscure Caribbean sights. I was thinking about Grand Turk, Dominica
or back to Belize perhaps. Any help? Thanks guys..

Ya Mon!!! or maybe da land o' Red Stripe? <WEG> Maybe they should do a
scientific study on the "supposed" sightings of "really huge" sharks <stretch
your arms out and repeat after me: "It was THIS big…">, and over all
alcoholic consumption, eh? lol We all know divers are such a meek crew, and
would never embelish, right?
