In my Imagine program I often used a function that wraped an object around a sphere. Depending on the radius of the object and the radius of the sphere. I can not find a funktion for that in my 3D Studio. Who can help me? I have to wrap a plane mesh around a sphere. Anselmo

Anselmo In the 3D Editor go to Surface/Mapping/Type/Spherical. As a side note, make sure you do all the tutorials that come with 3DS. There is a wealth of information there. TedB -Ted Boardman !^NavFont01F0007MGHHG95A758

Hi TED! Sorry I'm working with 3D Studio just since 2 weeks. Sorry but there is not enough time to make all the lessons well during that time. It's my first big 3D job in composing 3D parts with photorealistic images. My Imagine where I'm familiar with, has not all the features I need. So I hope I can help you one time in questions about bproff. photografie or making photorealistic textures or skins. I'm prof. photographer since 12 years. o.k. By Anselmo

Anselmo Ask all the questions you want here in Compuserve! That's what it's here for. Just don't forget the tutorials when you have the time<g>. Your photo training should help in setting lights and in scene composition, but things may be confusing at first because 3DS lights don't work like real lights. Sometimes they work better, but always a little different. Ich verstehe auch etwas Deutsch wenn dass hilft. Viel Glueck! TedB -Ted Boardman !^NavFont01F0007MGHHH695ADB
