#Slide show
10 messages in this thread
I used 3D Studio to render 60 3D drawings of cars, trucks, and vans. How do I
create a slide show of the images? Jeffrey.
Jeffrey,
Strangely enough, I think that the Texture Universe Browser (the Browser
was bundled in with 3DS Release 4) will let you index a directory with your
rendered images, then display them in a simple slide show.

Dear Kevin, The Image Browser in 3D Studio Release 4 displays thumbnails of
images and doesn't do slide shows. Jeffrey.
easy way is to use the aaplay for dos or windows and write a simple script
file. Essentially like a batch file. It will do nice 'slide show' fades between
your images. aaplay for dos only supports .fli but aaplayhi does flcs also. I
believe they are shareware.
Dear Brendon, I have AAPLAYHI program but it won't load 24-bit color *.TGA
files unless they are converted to 256-color files. Jeffrey.
Jeffrey,
there are a few utilities that are available as shareware. One is vpic, which
should be available on compuserve and the other is vgashow, which should also
be available on compuserve. There is also a version of vgashow on the World
Creating Toolkit CDROM.
Dear Martin, I tried the VGASHOW program that came on the World Creating
Toolkit CD-ROM disk but it converts 24-bit color *.TGA files into 8-bit color
before displaying them on the screen. I couldn't find VPIC program on
CompuServe. I found SVGA11 program but after downloading it and trying to run
it, it locked up my Zeos 486 EISA computer and I lost the EISA configuration
and memory size. I had to reset my computer and run the CMOS and EISA
configuration programs. I found the DISPLAY program on the CD-ROM disk that
came with the "PC Graphics Unleased" book. I ran the program and it worked.
Jeffrey.
Jeffrey,
Could you write back here a phone number or mailing address for this
slide utility, if you liked it for 24 bit images.
I have been using this one called PICEM, but I could never
determine where I got it from and have trouble getting the
24-bit option to work. Thanks! Rachel.
Dear Rachel, If the bookstores doesn't have "PC Graphics Unleased" book, you
can order it from Sams Publishing, 201 West 103rd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana
46290, 800-428-5331. Jeffrey.
Thank you Jeffrey. bye.rachel.
