Does anyone have any experiance interfacing a M100 to a digital signal (
i.e. TTL). What I need to do is interface a pulse generator to the M100 and
record the time at which each pulse occurs. I do have the abilty to tailor the
pulses. But would appreciate any suggestions on how to hardware interface and
also how to fetch the occurance from the port used. I have also considered
using a hardware interrupt to trigger the execution of a basic routine to
record the current time???

Paul, I know very little about the barcode port, but I have read that some have
used it for input of digital signals (on-off, 0-1), for external device
monitoring. Obviously, there is some port # that you can read to find out what
is going on there. An apparent advantage is that the port already has an input
plug, all ready for use. Perhaps some of the technikos can fill you in on
this, or give you some more concrete ideas.

That is one of the primary ports that I am considering. However I too know
very little about the numbering of this port and also the conditions for which
you can read an input from it. Me thinks.
