Help!
I have a digiview system running on an Amiga 2000. I am using the gender
changer and the Panasonic WV1410 camera. My digiview software is version
2.0. I have been able to capture beautiful pictures in the 320X200, 320X400,
and 640X400B&W mode. I have 3 megs of ram, and I am still having difficulty
with the 640X200 and 640X400 modes! The images appear
distorted….horizontal lines especially…..digitizing on a screwdriver
shows up as a sine wave shaped screwdriver. Letters digitize into wavy
characters. However, I get beautiful image in all other resolutions. The
camera was checked , and is up to spec, and gives beautiful images in {_the
NON-hires color modes, a and even in the hires black and white mode. What am
I doing wrong? Does this problem sound familiar? Has anyone else
experienced this? How well does Digiview 3.0 work in hires color?

Mark, that problem doesn't sound familiar to me. Are you using the NewTek
Digi-View adaptor? Or just a plain gender changer? There is a difference
between the two! If you are using the Newtek adaptor, you may want to
contact NewTek directly.

I had the same problem my self. The trouble is that digi-view does not
like the second 512 K of memory on the B2000 that is only semi fast memory.
Just
use the program SlomMemLast that's in your workbench system drawr, before
loading
Digi-view. Or just put it on your program disk and alter your
startup-sequence to enclude it. This should clear up your pics.

Slowmemlast will help your problem, but there is a definite incompatibility
problem between Digi-View and the A2000. The problem has to do with the
voltage coming out of the parallel port. Call and complain to NewTek, 'cause
they're definitely ignoring the problem. A unit called the Transvestor 2500
is a gender changer with an external power supply that takes care of the
problem. Good luck. Please post a note describing Newtek's reaction.
