Dual-Diskdrive
5 messages in this thread
Since a few month`s I use the VORTEX GoldenGate 386SX BB and it works
quite o.k. However, I have a DUAL-diskdrive (3,5 and 5,25 " in one) and
would like to run it with the BB. I connected it with a 34 pol flat-cable
to the BB (the BB has the floppy-controller-chip) but it don`t work. Is
anybody out there who knows how the cable has to luklike to get the pice
working ?? Now I have a 5,25" drive connected with no problems. Any advice
is appreciated. – Thanks –

I'm pretty sure you hook the connector up to a NON-TWISTED part of the
cable.

Dave,
that is what I did, but nothing happend. It is a TEAC – drive and there a
few jumpers on it. One are driveselect which I set the 5,25" to DS0 and
the 3,5" to DS1. Then there are some others
RY . ._. DC 1 2 3
MON1 ._. . MON2 . . . A
MON3 . ._. MON4

This are the factory – settings I have not changed. And there was no
instruction with the drive, so I don`t know this settings are korrect or
not.

Dave,
I`ll try this also. However, it will take a while, you know, opening the
A2000 again changing the 5,25" with the dual and so on. Hope this will do
the job this time.
