Please have patience with a novice for the following questions. I'm
planning to get an A2088 Bridgeboard for my Amiga 2000. Will I also be able
to use a hard disk card like the Flashcard? For both Amiga and PC sides? I
know that MS-DOS has formatting commands for a hard disk… where would I get
the programs to format the Amiga sectors?
I'd like to avoid buying both the A2088 and the Amiga hard disk controller
(A2090?) if possible, since I am going to be on a _shoestring_ budget.
One more dumb one: I know the A2088 comes with a 5-1/4" floppy drive… is
this internal or external?

Yes, you can use an IBM harddisk with the Bridgeboard and have it 'talk'
to both the MS-DOS and the Amiga sides of the machine. Full documentation
and all the software you need are included in the purchase of the A2088.
The A2088 comes with a 5.25 drive. It's an internal drive. My local
dealer will install and check out everything you purchase from him (at no
additional cost) and check everything out. Hopefully your dealer will do the
same. Installing the bridgeboard can be frustrating because the
documentation is not the most clearly written.
