#Maxiplan

Henry, I have 5 clients that have been using Maxiplan Plus 1.8c for over a year
with virtually no problems. (By virtually no problems, I mean 3 machines have
not crashed in almost a year. 1 machine has not crashed in over 9 months and
the other has not crashed in over 4 months (new operator). One of these
companies grossed over 3 million last year. Two of these switchedP{@Maxiplan
after using Lotus 123 on an IBM. Believe me, they would not be using Maxiplan
if it was buggy.)
. There are 3 ways to consistently crash Maxiplan, however.
.1. Run it along with BlitzFonts (the PD text speedup program). It won't
crash immediately, but it will within about 15 minutes.
.2. Click around on different gadgets too fast. I also can name about
a dozen other major Amiga programs that have this problem. I have
heard this is a system bug.
.3. This is the major one. NOT ENOUGH MEMORY!!! My systems run with 3 megs
of memory and no problems. Like others Maxiplan does not die gracefully
when it runs out of memory. Simple enough, get more memory.
As I can also crash Lotus 123 in about 5 mins KQPout much trouble I will take
MaxAlan any day. Remember as I said I had two c$9ts switch from Lotus after
seeing what Maxiplan can do. And yes, it will link spreadsheets.
And you don't need the professional graphics package you referred to on the
MAC. Maxiplan will do bar charts, line charts, pie charts, scatter charts, etc.
And on top of this it will display IFF pics too. Try that on Lotus.
Seems to me you are engaging in some of the same rhetoric about Maxiplan that
you accused Ben of using against WP.
Thanks for the good words. I guess we WILL upgrade the office's copy to Plus.
