#info on Virtual Reality

I am a student at Wheaton College, and I would like to have some
informatiwhat kind of education is necessary for a specialization in
Virtual Reality, specifically what kinds of courses are needed to be
fulfilled as an undergraduate degree. Please respond as soon as possible.

A few months ago I spoke with John Morrison from the CAD Institute in
Phoenix, Ar. He was planning a degree program with Virtual Reality as a
major. I don't have a # for him, but I'm sure someone will jump in with
more info.

pop over to the GraphDev forum and post this question in the VR Concepts
section. (Yes there is a Virtual Reality section here on Compuserve, even a
public domain VR program for the PC -demo4.zip in GraphDev lib 10)
I am aware of only one person so far who is getting a degree specifically
in Virtual Reality. He is going thru Cal State Long Beach, i think. I'll
get more later if you want.
I would suggest taking any 3D Graphics/Animation classes you can, plus
anything on interface design and interactive multimedia. Also try and see
if there are any courses on designing business communication art.
Information Visualization will be a much bigger part of VR than simple
interactive CAD flythroughs. Any courses on human-computer interaction
would be good. Take some Cognitive Psychology classes, too.
