#Whap! Headaches

Hi Jim, I can't seem to get off first base with Whap! It set the new
permanent settings: Brief [Yes], EasyPlex [Notify Only] and Top [Main]. Thats
it as far as I can tell. Then it locks up at one of the prompts, so I have to
abort. When I log on again, Whap dosn't go to Default for settings, it goes to
the forum name I had highlighted, which is CBMART, which I am a member of
already. When I get there, all goes well till I get the Sections listings, at
the prompt (Enter choice!) after a long wait, whap sends a JOIN, to which CIS
sends a (Invalid something!) thats as far as I can get. On the the forums
options, do I use no menus #1 or #2 [MENUS*]?? I'm trying to get section and
libraries for cbmart into whap!. When I go to amigatech,amigaarts, or amigavend
the same thing happens. I want to register, but if I cant get two second base
with the demo, I might not even get to bat with the advanced version. Any Idea?

Sounds like you have an *OLD* version of Whap! (at least 5 days old) 8) Go
download WHAP12.ARC from DL16, it corrects many bugs from the CIS Parameter
settings. Good Luck!

Somewhere along the line you changed your OPtions in the CBMART (and maybe
in other forums you use). Go back manually and set the menu option in the
forum to GLOBAL. Then delete the Tnnn in WHAP: and have it run again.
Whap! sets your global defaults but not set your options in individual
forums. GLOBAL is the default in forums.

How do u change the forum options to Global. All the choices I see are
profile,menu or command?
