I keep warning about disk space!
It is NOT a good idea to run with Append if you're using floppy. It's not
a good idea to run with Append for very long if you're using a hard disk.
There is only a finite amount of space regardless of what media you're using.
I'd suggest you create a Whap! boot disk. Below is the minimum
configuation necessary.

Then, via Edit Parameters, path your messages and downloads to a disk in DF1:.
When it starts getting full, and assuming you want to keep your old .msg files,
stick a new disk in DF1:. Make sure it has the same name as the previous disk
or in your pathing from Edit Parameters you've hard wired it for DF1: rather
than name.

Let me second what Jim suggests. Make Whap! bootable, put Access! on that
disk. Boot Whap! in df0: and use df1: for your messages. I have Arc on my
message disk, too. And make sure you're in Overwrite mode and not Append. I
download messages from Easyplex, and 9 other forums, plus binary files. I have
never come close to filling up my message disk.
