#[R] & [W] Problems

I'm having problems with the [R] and [W] functions from within Whap! That is, the functions don't work. Whenever I select the [R] or [W] buttons, the program kicks me into the guilt screen, the screen flashes, and then I'm into the "guilt" screen again. In order to read or write messages, I have to access View! from the CLI. I've set up the assigns correctly; everything else works fine as far as I can tell (small bugs aside). What am I doing wrong?

Are you SURE that View! is in WHAP: and not c: ?

Joel, That sounds strange. Are you very sure you have View! in WHAP: and that it is indeed named View! ? Best, -jcs-

Yes, I'm very sure View! is in WHAP: and that it is indeed named View! (right down to the capital "v" and the exclamation mark). Whap! is not on a bootable disk, by the way. I use WShell, so I've written a short "startup-sequence" file to get Whap! running. For what it's worth, here it is: assign whap: whapcis: cd whapcis: arun whap! cd sys: On the disk (named whapCIS:), Whap! and View! reside in the root directory…. Sigh. Anyway, I like Whap! very much and have already sent you a money order for the program. Joel
