#BT2 starter dungeon

Anybody far enough in Bard's Tale 2 to help me satisfy my curiosity with the starter dungeon? I finally gave up on it when I couldn't figure out how to rescue the princess and I had built myself up enough to try the "outside world". Probably doesn't bode well for my solving the other puzzles in the game, but hopefully my cluebook should have arrived by then. Made it down to where the magic mouth asked me who the master of something was (I'm being cryptic to try to avoid giving too much away to others), and I answered that correctly, which created a door that got me to another magic mouth blocking a stairway. That one I couldn't answer. Tried the Bard song that the clue further up seemed to suggest and it didn't seem to make any difference. Couldn't make sense of the 2 words of gibberish I found. Also found the clues (if that's what they are) "A corpse is here with a tombstone marked …", "Seek the four…", "The …. one can … the gap", and I've bought seven different clues (that don't seem relevant here). I also got rid of the creature I was told to beware of. Since I'm now surviving fairly well now on the second level of the maze that the Sage directed me to, I quite likely wouldn't get much any more out of rescuing the Princess, but I'm curious about what I missed. ?????

Alas, NONE of the stores in my area (Phila. and suburbs) has gotten Bards Tale II in yet. But if you are really curious, you can always ask over in GAMERS, where there are people who finished BT II on other machines, or look in The Electronic Gamer (GO TEG) for the Bard's Tale II walkthru. –>Steve Bennett

Last I looked there wasn't a BT2 walkthru. I'll ask in GAMERS one of these days if I get too impatient waiting for my cheat sheets oops I mean cluebook to arrive.

Steve, I'm sure it's in the Philadelphia area. What part of Phily are you in? I live near there as well. -allen
