Hi! I just joined this forum. I am interested in Amiga art and animation. I have lots of experience with static paintings DPaint II mostly, and have done some work with Animator (Aegis.) I am just learning Deluxe Music and Deluxe VIdeo, but havn't M A D E anything yet. I'd be interested in any views any of you more experienced folks have about the relative marits or capabilities of Sculpt-Animate 3D, Silver and The Director…some packages I'm interested in. -George Roland

George, In my opinion, Sculpt-Animate 3D and The Director are two of the best packages for the Amiga in existance. SA3D is a wonder, though admittedly painfully slow. But the images it produces are outstanding, and, if you take the time to read the manual, amasingly easy to use. As for The Director, it is difficult to get it to NOT work. The commands are so simple and logical that you will probably, like me, have your slideshow up and running in little more than the time it takes you to write the script. The dissolves, fades and wipes are incredible, and rival those effects found in $5,000 Video Special Effects Generators. If you want to get to work immediately, run out and buy the Director. If you have the time to wait for ray tracing, run out and buy SA3D. You won't be sorry. Patrick
