I can't find the UltraCard demo that was supposed to be uploaded last week. Am
I looking in the wrong place or has it not been uploaded yet?
Michael St. Laurent
It hasn't been uploaded yet. I ordered mine C.O.D. last week and expect it by
next Monday. I imagine the Browser will be a little later version than what I
get :-). The author's intent is that the Browser be a freelyredistributable
Ultrastack reader, and that it be sufficiently evocative that all who use it
will long to stack their own applications (and thus buy the Maker). One
difficulty is that the true power of hypermedia is realized when the
hyper-reader can modify the stack as s/he reads (like writing notes in the
margins of papermedia) so the program has some of the feel of an outline
processor; this means the author has to be very careful that the
freely-redistributable code is not so powerful that no-one will buy the the
primary.
UltraCard demo has not been uploaded yet, Michael. LOTS of people are eager to
see it. Maybe soon?

Its HERE! I just uploaded the UltraCard demo to the AMIGATECH section.
Thanks for waiting. Mike Lehman Intuitive Technologies
Mike,
Thanks for the upload. I have downloaded the file from the preview area, and
will make it public as soon as I have time to check it out. I think it will be
VERY popular!
Betty
Thank you. We are quite happy with the product and expect that it will
continue to improve (almost daily) but we will upload weekly.
Thanks Mike Lehman
Mike,
I downloaded it played around with it for a while yesterday. Very
interesting program! I look forward to seeing what people do with UltraCard!
It seems to have a lot of potential.

Thanks. We are quite excited and expect performance to improve substantially
as we switch from Manx to Lattice with register parameters. We just couldn't
justify making the compiler switch until we shipped the first version.
A wise decision. Never switch compilers/word processors/etc. in the middle of
a project.

Thanks for the reply Betty. Just logged on today for the first time since
posting the message asking about UltraCard and found out that it had been
uploaded.
