.. What is the difference between SuperGen and ProGen? If ProGen costs half
as much, why is it a good idea to buy SuperGen?

I suppose because SuperGen is better. I haven't played with the ProGen
myself, though. Check out the AmigoTimes v1.5 magazine, which has an excellent
article comparing genlock/encoders, complete with pictures of waveform monitors
and vectorscopes. —Mike

I'm actually looking for a way to get a good quality NTSC signal out of
my A1000. I don't care too much about the genlock.

I recommend the CMI-500 encoder. It is designed for the A500 but works fine
on th 1000. It is about $50, and pretty good quality. Avoid the model that
has the RF output, bacuase it induces some noise in the video. —Mike

I'll settle for 10% of any income you generate using your Amiga. 8) Creative
Computers has it for $59 (under "VI 500") 800-872-8882, as does MCS
800-433-7756. However, most larger Amiga dealers should have it. I'd recommend
paying a few extra bucks to get it locally in case you get a defective one.
I;ve never dealt with Creative, but I had a heck of a time getting service the
one time I dealt with MCS.
