HI. I'd like to know when Access!1.5 is going to be out.. I LOVE it!

Marc,
Keith has been doing some work on commercial programs (paid work, that is) and
has had some other distractions that have kept him from getting out the next
version of Access. He says maybe, before too long.

I've just recently gotten back to work on Access! 1.xxx (undecided rev.
number as of yet). I just finished adding CIS B+ protocol (with auto-download
resume), a very functional ARexx interface, a few design changes in the
filerequester, phone-book and DEFINE window(s) and have Xmodem 1K, YModem and
Zmodem well under-way.
I'm not sure if the X1K/Y/Zmodem(s) will make it into the 'next' release,
but expect to be testing then posting a new version within the next week or so.

GREAT!!!!! I am SO happy to hear that! I really hope ZMODEM makes it into the
next version, 'cause that's the only thing I need more in it. I won't need to
upgrade to OnLine! Platinium after all. BTW, do you accept Canadian money?

I asked Steve this but I'll ask you too. QB doesn't seem to coexist with
Access! and MNP level 4. Would you happen to know if that's a QB restriction
or an Access! restriction (or an MNP restriction)?

Hmm… I'm not sure, I hadn't heard of that problem yet. I know that the
QB in Access! (1.42) started not working real well all of the time when CIS
made the switch to B+… this new B+ is working well, so maybe that'll fix it.

I just checked; if it makes a difference, I'm running 1.41, not 1.42. I don't
have any problems with QB and 1.41 with no MNP, but it dies with. Steve says QB
and MNP coexist happily, so Access! must be the variable in the equation.
Tell me (and forgive this if it's a silly question; I haven't looked at the QB
protocol): do the characters for the QB introducer all have to be received
within a given time period? I'm wondering if you're timing out due to the
packetizing of MNP or somesuch.
The symptom is that I see the introducer characters come to the screen as if
they are never recognized by Access!; I.E., "QB#&<filename>etc" or somesuch.
Does that give you any ideas? Or should I just go grab a copy of 1.42?
