Duane, I've heard lots of people say they want ARexx in 3D products, but I've
yet to hear a detailed explanation of what they want to do if they had it!
Could you give me some examples of what you'd like to do with ARexx and Silver,
for example? Or, most important to me, we're thinking about the way ARexx will
be integrated with InterChange. What sort of commands would you like to have?
At this point, I'm about to make final decisions on what is included and what
isn't, and how it's all implemented, and I'm forced to include only the things
I've been able to think of, because not one of the testers I've talked to have
given me any solid feedback. I really want someone to write an ARexx program
for an imaginary interface to Silver or InterChange or any other 3D program…

It would be ultimately great to be able to select an item from the menus of one
program, have it save an object somwhere, then it would notify InterChange of
what format you want it, and it would convert it for you. As you said, it
would be great to have it automatically land in Sculpt, too. Or vice versa,
editing in Sculpt and appearing in Silver. That would require a great amount
of coordination between the two 3D programs.
Do you program in ARexx, yourself? Or do you hope to have the ARexx link
there, but have the details of linking programs together pre-programmed by
someone else?
