I'm a new trial use of Nautilus and I can not read .WRI files at all. I open one .WRI file and I see it is read but nothing happens on screen. Mark (working for John)

Mark (working for John)<< Mark: You have confoozled me. .WRI files are simply text files saved in Microsoft Write for Windows format. They can even be opened with a plain text editor but you will get garbage if special graphics are included. How did you 'OPEN' the file? and what do you mean by 'it is read'? Do you mean that disk activity indicated it was read into memory? DO you have the .WRI extension associated with WRITE.EXE? This should have been done as a default by Windows. Try running WRITE and then choosing the file to open from within its file menu. -Ed
