Thanks… thats what I wanted to hear! Hopefully Commodore will go through
with it! Hmm… maybe they'll ship to students first!!!!!
Would be nice if the included High School students in their ed. plan don't
you think? Also, I am getting a GVP 030 card with 4megs., do you know how
my 2000 will compare speed wise w/ the 3000?
If you get the a card with the same speed, I would immagine it should
compare closely. The only disadvantages you will experience will be the
lack of the 32-bit architecture(sp?) and the new co-processors.
Yes, it would be nice for them to include high school students in the
educational plan.
My dealer said that they're about 6 weeks on backorder and you can order
one *now* and have it in your hands in about 6 weeks. He also said
something that suggested that there are two queues for servicing the
orders: 25% of the machines go to educational orders, and the rest to the
rest.

If that is true I am going to be one very unhappy camper!
Michael,
My dealer said that CBM intended to fill educational orders first, so
you may get your wish that "students get theirs first".

I think Commodore should put everything they say into writing and send it
th to the dealers. So many different answers! I hope you're right…
I sometimes wonder if many dealers ever read their mail. CBM does put all
this stuff in writing. We get several packets of mail from CBM every week
announcing the latest info.
