Hey Brian,
How is the 3000? Have you run into any problems with software and
ect. I hope to get mine this week. I can't wait!

The 3000 is wonderful. It is a very well designed and put together
machine. 2.0 is also great! I get the impression that CBM looked at the
hard disks of a number of intensive Amiga users, checked what PD utilities
were there, and built them all into the OS. The only thing missing is a
directory utility.
Hope your wait isn't too long — you're gonna love this computer!!
Now to find some 1 meg x 4 DRAMs….

Well I got it today! I really Love it! Do you have a problem with the very
top bar of you monitor being a little un-level? Mine is off a bit, but
seems to be getting better. I guess it is due to shipping or something. The
whole sceen is not quite level.
Most of my software is running pretty well. Business stuff seems to work
fine. What Comm program are you using?

I don't have the problem with the top bar. I haven't explored the monitor
much, but you might check whther you can adjust that yourself. It would be
an awful pain to have to send the thing back for mainenance!
I still have my 2000 and I'm using that to communicate for now. I'm using
a variety of programs — Whap!, for here, BaudBandit, for most BBSs, and
Diga for BIX (I customized some nice scripts years ago and just never
bothered translating them to anything else). Are there problems with comm
programs on the 3000?

I fixed the monitor. Seems that shipping can cause the yolk inside the 1950
to move somewhat. I pulled the cover off and adjusted the yolk (very
carefully) It looks great now! I really love this machine. The speed is
great and the monitor really looks nice.
So Far these programs work fine: Propage 1.31 Access (comm that I use) Pen
Pal 1.35 World Class Leader Board Tetrix
These do not work: 2.0 software: Diskmaster Utility Scribble! Platinum (
work halfway, really wierd results) Gridiron Football
I am still trying things out! How about yourself?

Glad you got the monitor problem solved.
The compatability does not seem to be the problem that people were afraid
of. So far everything I have tried works, but I haven't done a marathon
check. This afternoon I think I'll run through some games and see what's
happening. I'll report here!
