V20)

I don't know of a snyde smiley face, so I assume that that was meant to
be one. 8) I would imagine that Commodore is also working on faster
bridgeboards than that V20 one.

What they described LOOKED/SOUNDED in description to be in the range of the
V20-V30. Now they might not have intended that, but that's what it looked
like. It was listed, if I remember right, as an accessory for the 3000.

We'll just have to wait and see. All we know for certain is that they
are working on new bridgeboards, and considering how many problems do exist
with the current ones (like the AT BB taking up two slots, making it all
but unusable on the A3000) I would imagine they are making replacements for
the XT and AT we have today, not just new models.

There is a slightly new version of the AT bridgeboard. The latest
version uses a different clock & CMOS (configuration) RAM. The most obvious
difference is that that big lithium battery is no longer needed. We had fun
installing them until we called Commodore and found out about the
configuration menu. Seems the config was set for having an ibm hard drive
present, and it wouldn't boot correctly without changing that setting…
