I have a problem that has just deeloped. My system is the same as the person aboves. But last night my computer read "Problem Validating Disk. Key 4194304 out of bounds" What does that mean? An how do I correct it? The programs on the drive run, but I can't write to that drive. <<<BP>>>

Bruce, One of the file/directory pointers is pointing to a non-existant sector. You'd need a sector editor to fix it. Your best bet is to copy the files off onto another disk. Don

Don, Once I have copied the files off to another disk, cam I reformat the drive to remove the pointer? Is there a good public domain program on the board that can help me? Thank you for your help. <<<BP>>>
