Peter, I suspect that you are getting caught in a timing problem here. This is what I think is happening: We test a group of new uploads. Before making them public, we first copy each program to its permanent library, and then we put out a notice on the message board that the program is available. Next, we go to each library and tell CIS to make the new files there public. If we do this early in the day, they are made public within a few minutes after the messages are posted, but if it is late in the afternoon or evening, they hold up until 2 AM before they do it. I think you are seeing the announcements for the files at the time we approve the file, but CIS has not yet made the file public. If you will try again the next day, you will find them in Library 1. ……Betty

Now that makes sense. I am usually on every day between 7:00 and 9:00 AM eastern time. I must be missing the LIB 1 listings when I scan early in the morning, though I usually get some of them. This also explains why I totally miss some of the listings. My scanning routines work off the date of the last scan (plus a little overlap). If I miss the listings because of timing, when I do scans a few days later there isn't enough overlap to catch everything. Peter_S (LeCroy Corp) "Software means never having to say you're finished"
