I have no idea why you can't boot up in 1.3, but my VirusX has never
checked my HD, only floppies.

Yes, I am short about 2MB when I do an INFO on the drives. Ok, if v2.0
hides the v1.3, how do I get to it, and if I cant how do I get my 2MB
back!?!? My local dealer is a moron, so you people are my only hope.
Right now I can do without v1.3 but I really need that path to work. I
tried adding this to my startup-sequence: path sys:my_c add and the
system didnt recognize it. Any other ideas out there? Thanks everyone.
You get either the WB1.3 or WB2.0 partition, depending on how you booted
when you turned on the computer.

When I boot the computer with both mouse buttons held down, I get the 1.3
or 2.0 menu. If I choose 1.3 (floppy or hard), hard disk works a little
and stops with a blank screen. I am 2Mb short on my 100Mb hard disk, so I
assume that is where 1.3 is hiding. My question is why cant I boot with
1.3!? And how can I get to that section of my HD? It doesn'tw up when I
do a dir, info, or list. Can someone from CBM please help me with this!
My local dealer doesnt consider it his problem since I bought the computer
as an EDUATIONAL PURCHASE and only used my dealer as the middleman. I
really need help!

May I suggest that you GO CBMSER and present your support problem to Dave
Minnich over there? He is Commodore's official support person on CIS, and
he is excellent! I think you will be pleased with his help.

Report the dealer to Commodore. There is a reason he has the name
DEALER! He made $305.90 off your purchase, more if you bought something
other than the computer. If he only wants to be a middleman, ask for your
$300 back! If he refuses to help you, call Commodore and ask for your local
area sales representative, both the normal rep and the educational rep.
They can both handle the problem from different ends. And don't get off
their backs until they do something!
It sounds like the kickstart file is damaged. When you get to that menu,
you should select 1.3 hard drive for it to look to the hard drive. When you
select floppy it doesn't ask you to insert the superkickstart disk? Then I
think you have something wrong with the ROMs that place the kickstart in
memory.
