Jack – If you are just starting out in the area of DTP you probably don't need the High End packages (ProPage & Pagestream), but one good one is PageSetter II by Gold Disk. It has almost all the features of ProPage except Color, Kerning, and (I thinking)Postscript support. But seeing as you mentioned that you were outputting to a 24wire dot matrix these features probably aren't need. Pagesetter retails for $129.00 and is an excellent value for what it can do. I produce a club newsletter once a month using PPage and a 24 wire STAR XB2410 – the end result is very good and very professional looking. You can get the same results with Pagesetter. Pagesetter DOES use Gold Disk's additional CG Fonts so you have a very good selection of fonts available to you. If you like, E-Mail me your mailing address and I will send you a copy of our newsletter and some other samples that I have of DTP work with these two packages. – Roy Pahnke – Crazy Mountain Software Casper, Wyomin' – 1-800-76 AMIGA

For Jack's benefit. You can get PageStream for $130. from the mailorder sources. I'm not getting how it's "high end". It may be too much program for Jack's purposes, but the money is right…And most of us expand our expectations when we get into something…PageStream is "a pain in the port" in many ways but it can do a LOT and much of it well…
