#pagestream to pagemaker

Is there a way to convert a file from EPS format into a graphic file which
cna be imported into Aldus PageMaker? I am using a copy of PageStream v.1.8
which was given to me by a friend, but I can only export the files in EPS
format and I need to be able to translate a graphic file into an importable
file which can be viewed from within PageMaker. Is there a conversion
util. which can accomplish this? Any input would be much appreciated!!
Jim,
Offhand, I don't know. You might try asking your question in the DTP
section in AmigaUser Forum — you'll probably get better response there.
Jim;
No you can not do the export… Soft-Logic will presumably do the export
modules some day but for now…

Aldus PageMaker will import an EPS file. If the EPS file has a bitmap
preview, that's what you'll see in the box. Otherwise, the graphic box in
PageMaker will just be an 'X'. What makes you think you can't import EPS
into PageMaker?

Do you know of anyway to attatch the bitmap preview? It seems that,
with ADPro, Post, or some other collection of tools, this sort of thing
should be a viable possibility…

You'd really need a program to do it, it involves adding a short binary
header, plus a trailer of a TIFF image. You can't simply "JOIN" an EPS
file and a TIFF preview. I don't know of such a program, either PD or
commercial.

Sounds like an itch waiting to be scratched…at one of the NYC shows, I
saw several people at the ASDG booth asking for that feature in a future
incarnation of ADPro. I was one.
