I have a friend here in Honolulu who ordered a new Amiga 3000 from J&C Computers (a local dealer) on APRIL 9 and he STILL has yet to receive it! As he paid CASH IN ADVANCE, he is PO'd and concerned. Is there a national shortage of Amiga 3000's and, if so, does anybody know how long the wait is!

Sam, What are you doing in Honolulu!? You on vacation or move recently? At any rate, yes, the Power Up promotion has been a huge success and 3000s are in very short supply right now.

Well, I'm in Honolulu as well(Pearl City), and having been waiting on my A3000-25/50 since the end of may. The 25 Mhz seems to be the one in shortage, but what really gets me as as the time drags on this dealer is drawing interest off of my pre-payment(didn't have a choice here). A friend of mine picked up a 16 Mhz about 3 weeks ago without a problem. Is everyone on the mainland waiting the same amount of time or are we being forgot? Tim..

Sam, yes…indeed there is a shortage of A3000's right now. The "power-up" program was a big success for Commodore. So much so that they can't keep up with the demand for machines. Don

If your friend ordered a 3000 on April 9th, and now its almost 2 months later, I think I would be stomping on some dealers head. I think 2 months is a little longer than usual, with a 1 month delay being the norm. John (in beautiful downtown Walla Walla) – via Whap!
