I'm looking for something akin to books in print for CDROM databases.
Specifically Art Auction records. Can anyone out there help me?

Say, How much of the Library of Congress do they have on CDROM and how much
do they want for it? bye.
I don't know of any CDROMs with Art Auction prices, but one of the online
services in the U.K. (pergamon or maxwell) has a DB called artline that has
this info.
If you are interested I'll dig into my records more closely. The one thing
I do remember is that it was a little pricy unless you are into art
sales/appraisals professionally.

Yes I would appreciate you digging out the info. Even if it proves to
be to expensive for me to use, I'd like to see all of what's available on
line and on CDROM.

Paul…I don't know of any CDs like those you're looking for but there is
an on-line service called Knowledge Index that may fit the bill. It has
about 100 databases including Books In Print and 2 Art databases. KI is a
subset of the Dialog Information Service and costs a flat rate of $25/hr.
You can reach them at 800-3DIALOG. Hope this helps.
