#Archive Utility Help?

In using the Lharc utility on some files I downloaded from a BBS I belong
too
message at the end was " Warning: Skipping extraneous/corrupted data
0 files(s) extracted, operation not totally sucessful. " What if anything
could I be doing wrong, or do I need a different Utility. The files were
ATREE.ZOO, DEFDISK.ARC, CRAMDEN.ARC and GUN.ARC. The Lharc command I used
was <lharc.exe x> <archive filename w/extension> <df1:>. If anyone could
shed some light on this issue I would surely appriecate it thanks for the
help.
Lharc will only decompress files with a .LZH extension. You'll need Zoo and
Arc (and unZip would be handy to have as well)

"xxxx.ZOO" files must be extracted using ZOO and "xxxx.ARC" must be
extracted using either ARC or UNARC. Lharc only works on "xxxxx.LZH"
files. Each of these archivers uses a different method of encoding the
original file.

Traditionally, files with the extension ".ZOO" are meant to be
uncompressed with the ZOO utility, and those with ".ARC" are to be used
with the ARC utility. I believe you can find all the relevant files here
in AmigaUser LIB5. BTW, Lharc is used for files with ".LZH" extensions.
You were using the wrong utility for the programs you downloaded. Those
programs were compressed with ARC and ZOO. You need ARC.EXE and ZOO.EXE to
unpack those. LHARC works for files that have the .LZH extension.
