I have a Texel DM-3024 CD-ROM drive and Adaptec 1540B SCSI controller. I can not seem to get the Kodak PhotoEdge software to recognize my drive. I have the latest ASPI4DOS.SYS driver and the drive works fine for DOS files and CS audio. Does anyone have a clue to what my problem is? The PhotoEdge manual says something about some Photo-CD access softare on the sample Photo-CD but I can't seem to find anything like that. Help!! Thanks alot! Brian

Hi Brian… I have the TExcel 5024, the externa cousin to your 3024, and Adaptec 1540. In order to access PhotoCD, I needed additional drivers to Aspi*.* . Try CorelSCSI…installation was simple and it works fine. Bob

Brian, I hope you get your photo-cd question resolved. In the meantime, could you tell me how you like the Texel drive? I have been shopping around and have narrowed the field down to the NEC 84 and the Texel. I was thinking about getting the PAS16 sound card instead of a SCSI adaptor. Do you run any games? How about access time, etc.? Any help you or anyone else might give me would be appreciated. I have a Dell 433s/L with 230 Meg HD and 8 Meg ram. Thanks again. Ray Smith

You need the /XA switch to access photo CD's.
