INTEL ABOVE BOARD PLUS 8

FYI. I've had a great day! I installed my new Intel Above Board Plus 8
(populated with 2 megs) with I/O card on my XT Bridgeboard and it works
perfectly. I configured it to replace a 640K memory expansion card by
adding 128K to ram, thus eliminating one card. I also created a 768K ram
disk (It acts just like the Amiga side ram disk; good for diskcopying those
720K disks). Buying the ram expansion with an I/O board attached also
allowed me to remove my older I/O board. As a result, the extra ram,
expanded memory and I/O card are "all in one." I used pctools and another
diagnostic program (Helix's Discovery) to see if all was well. Both
programs showed the additional memory and the I/O ports. Unfortunately,
the Plus 8 does not come with a game port. By the way, Helix's Doubledisk
also works with the XT Bridgecard. It is terribly slow on the XT, but it
does allow a 50% increase in hard disk space. In my case, using 10meg of
my 32meg hardcard I was able to store 16megs of programs. It didn't really
double the 10 megs of allotted space but it did increase it by over 50
percent.

Do you know what type of UART the Intel Above Board Plus 8 uses? I am
looking for one which as a small internal buffer as the advanced UARTS do.
