#Rejuvenated A1000
3 messages in this thread
Would anyone be interested in a Rejuvenated A1000? Instead of buying your a
Rejuvenator for your A1000, why not buy one already installed/tested/burned
in? 😉 Here's what I've got:
Amiga 1000 (Very good condition) Rejuvenator board, 1MB CHIP RAM, video
slot for flickerFixer, switchable
between KS in ROM (will take a 2.0 ROM) and disk-loaded KS. Total
onboard
memory: 1MB CHIP memory, 512K FAST RAM. Includes 1.3 in ROM. Tool Box
2-slot Zorro II expansion chassis, uses A2000 cards.
I'm currently running the system with a Xetec hardcard in one slot, a
Microbotics 8-UP in another, and a flickerFixer in the video slot. Works
like a charm. I'm going to transfer those boards to a 2000.
Anyway, I'd be willing to part with the whole setup for $600 (or trade for
an A2000, grin!). Anyone looking for a nice Amiga with keyboard garage and
color NTSC output? 😉

You're not really going to part with your hot-rod 1000 are you? What was
it, your brother-in-laws new system that got to you? You won't be the same
person without it! You're entire perspective will change. Next, you'll be
wearing pocket protectors brimming with broken pencils and leaky bics. <g>
BTW, why don't you try and trade your firecracker to someone who powered-up
and has an extra GVP A3001 lying around, and then sell your 8-up &
hardcard.
The difference the 68030 with 32 bit ram makes is unbelievable. I powered
up from the 1000 a couple of weeks ago (remember, a couple of months ago I
asked you how you had crammed all that stuff in your 1000!). Actually, I
cast my vote that Compute buy you a new 3000! The August issue (Amiga
Scection) was the best to come out — nice job. I particularly enjoyed the
very different approach to the Toaster review. I wish you could get more
pages.

I WANT THIS SYSTEM!!! Please call me ASAP so we can talk about it. My
Home phone is 1-602-458-8082 and my Work phone is 1-602-538-8911. We'll
make some kind of deal. I've got a 1000 with a Sidecar (ancient, yes) but
it works perfectly with an XT 30 meg Hardcard in the Sidecar partitioned
with 20 meg Amiga and 10 meg IBM. I like the 1000 better than the 500
(except for the fact that CBM doesn't support it anymore, stupid). Please
call ASAP. Thanks.
