Gary,
is that photorealistic renderman or renderman with autocad? if you are
talking photorealic renderman with digital arts software then multiple
frames are possible with there utilities. i came in late on this thread so
i may be off in what you are talking about.

I was talking about the Rman that ships with Autoshade, plus any other
version of Rman that runs on the Intel (or Motorola) processors. I think
that DGS is using a transputer version… aren't they?

yes and no, there are really three versions
1> renderman compliant(there version of renderman)
2> photorealistic renderman by pixar
3> the transputer version which can be mixed with the above for more speed
in rendering i quess.
i have all three but only use the pixar version because of its shaders. and
i'm not about to go out and spend 3,000 per transputer.

Sheesh, that's a complex array of choices. I can't wait to see the Rman
stuff on your demo tape. I'm guessing that you're using some pretty cool
shaders…

Sherwood,
You should check w/ ALTA. They have a 10 tranputer board for about
$4000. Very hot. Fast DGS rendering.
would you have the phone number or address?
thanks sherwood
