Can anybody tell me if there is a good program for unpacking Mac .SIT files? I have been using UNSIT.arc from lib 9 or 16 in this forum, but yesterday when I tried to unpack a file, what I got was just an empty file. Regards, Shraddhan – via Whap! from Hertfordshire in the UK

UNSIT is all there is — and, as you've found out, only works on some .SIT files.

Steve, There is also UnStuff, which works with a different subset of .SIT files. If it's not here on CIS, I'll try to get it uploaded. (However, I think I downloaded it from here in the first place…) –dds Whappeta-whappeta-Whap!

Shraddhan, UNSIT does not handle more recent variations on the .SIT format. On the rare occasion that I need to use it, I usually use either a Mac or Clone as an in-between step (there is a more up-to-date version of PCUnsit, that should handle everything). You might want to get the PC version, and run it under a software emulator. Jonathan – via Whap!
