Michael, After some more persistence (and I'm not sure how I did it!) I seem to have b ave been able to get it all to work and to finally get the bplus.library into my libs: directory. Man — this is all so new to me. I love being able to do all of these things with my computer. This forum gives me the chance to really learn how to do so many things. I really was living in a vacuum before! My next adventure is to try to get Whap! downloaded and working. (I have a 1.3 Workbench.) Once I really get "hooked up" properly to CompuServe there are A LOT of questions I have to ask. I can't wait to really take advantage of the forum. Thanks so much for your help and assistance! Oh — one question though…….what do I have to do to be able to read the the docs on something? Right now all I can figure out to do is to copy the file to my printer which uses up a lot of paper sometimes — especially the LHA docs!!! Thanks again -Alan

You can load a doc file in to any word processor or text viewer you might have (I use VIEW80, available in the Amigauser library), or you can just use the MORE tool in your sys:tools directory. To use more, open a shell and type: pathname>:more <pathname>:<docfilename> so, if MORE is in your SYS:TOOLS drawer and you want to read a doc file called PROGRAM.DOC in your DH1:PROGRAM directory, you would enter: SYS:TOOLS/MORE DH1:PROGRAM/PROGRAM.DOC

Michael, Thanks so much for the help regarding doc file reading. I'm sure it must've been a stupid question for you. But — I am learning! Thanks to this forum! Alan – via Whap!

Not a 'stupid' question at all. One of the (ahem) 'more' frequently asked ones at that. 🙂
