Chrome is one of those existential kinds of materials — it ain't what it
is, but it's what's around it what defines it. A highly reflective surface,
either polished or not, with a reflection map makes things look like
chrome. Try a double gradient: dark blue to light blue, abutting dark brown
to light brown — looks like a horizon when spherically reflection mapped.
