Boy, I wish I could easily re-read the thread. Oh well.
Maybe your power supply is giving the wrong number of ticks,
or the 8520 counter is screwing up.
That's the only thing I can think of, assuming that you've
checked GfxBase and ExecBase to make sure it doesn't accidently
think you've got a 50hz timebase, is to do the following
1) Check the timer ticks with a scope or freq counter
2) swap 8520s and see what happens
3) change the jumper to read off vblank and see what happens.

OK, next time the box is open I'll check with a scope and see what is
present at the clock counter as well as check the clock with the jumper set to
2 & 3 vice 1 & 2. I already tried the 8520 chip shuffle with no change in
behavior. I should try the serial port one of these days too. I don't even
know if it works or not. Where does the baud rate clock come from?
It seems like if the system thought it was running on a 50 Hz line then
the clock should gain 12 sec. every minute or 12 min. every hour, no? The gain
I am seeing is very close to 4.6 sec/min. Off the top of my head I don't see
any relationship between this error and anything from the real world.
It will probably be at least several days before I can open the box
again. I really need to check out the SCSI drive and see if I will be
re-installing it before I open the Ami again. 73, bill

of "it might be…")
Speaking of hard disks and SCSI… I think I've figured out how to specify LUNs
with the 2090. Who was interested ? I don't have such a beast at the moment…

A number of folks are interested in the way Luns may work off of the
A2090. I think the person that brought up the original message a while back
was Dan Moore. I'll leave him some mail so he's sure to pick up the thread!

I'm the person (or at least one of the persons) who was interested in
running multiple LUNs off the 2090.
What do I need to do to specify the different LUNs when I'm setting up
and mounting the drives? I'll be glad to try it and let you know if it works
or not. The worse that can happen is it fail and that leaves me no worse off
than I am now.

Try a funny unit number…left shift the unit number 5 places (binary), add to
the real unit number.
