Is GD aware that when you print a postscript thumbnail, the 2×2 prints 4×4 and the 4×4 prints 2×2? At least that happens when I use Post. Gracia – via Coolwhap

Gracia, With PPage 3.0, I just printed out thumbnails using all settings, both to our PostScript Printer and to a file then copied to the PostScript printer. All worked fine: a 2×2 printout, printed four pages on a single page and a 4×4 gave me 16 pages on a single page. When you use Post, do you print to a file on disk first then send it through Post? I thought Post took PostScript `code' and just `bit-mapped' it for printing to a non-postscipt printer. If this is the case, I can't see how an error could occur. Philip Laitar Supervisor

Philip, I guess that's why I never understand docs!!! I AND the person I'm working with assumed (yes I know what that makes us) that it meant meant measurement NOT pages. G-d forbid it should be easy to find in the manual. Anyway, it does work. Thanks Is there any way to purge the fonts size pull down menu? It doesn't want to add a new size when the list is long. I forgot to umark the ADD button. When will you have new CG fonts? I NEED Lubalin and it's a real hassle to use a PostScript font if I can't get a good screen font. I can't get Creat Font to make Helvetica Bold Oblique. I have the CGFont. It did all the others very nicely. Gracia – via Coolwhap

Gracia, No, unfortunately there is no way to purge the font size list…in PPage 3.0 we put the ADD button in to help prevent this…once added howerver…:) The outline fonts we supply (called GOLD DISK TYPE) is the entire AGFA INTELFONT library that we can supply. It does contain ITC LUBALIN GRAPH BOOK. What is the specific font you need? Other than converting an Adobe Type 1 (assuming FontManager will convert it) is the only way to get extra `outline' fonts in PPAGE. The CGFONT will give you both smooth screen display and th PostScript download. What happens when you try to use CreateFont with Helvetica?? Philip Laitar Supervisor

Philip, I spoke to a tech guy at AGFA and he said I couldn't convert the INTELLIFONT fonts to Ppage, they had to be GOLD DISK Type. I finally found my Gold Disk Font list. I do see Lubalin. Still, it's a very short GD list, considering all the AGFA fonts. I am not against paying for my fonts IF they are available. Will GD be adding to it's CG library? Ever? Can one order just the type face one needs rather then a pre-packaged group? I DO hate to pay for faces I already have just to get one I need. While I have your ear, why does the arrow become an annoying Buzz when you use the pull dowm menus in ProDraw3? Why is Trace still so tacky looking? Making it almost impossible to read the directories. Why ProDraw for for Windows so fabulous…why did GD send me it's Windows flyer when I was about to get a ho hum Amiga upgrade? Not even a new font. I hope GD gets it's act together.. I'm trying to be a loyal customer, but it's getting harder and harder. I converted all the CGTriumverate fonts to PS (Helvetica) with Creatfont and they all worked EXCEPT Triumvirate BO. It appeared to be converting but is not in PSFonts. Gracia – via Coolwhap
