Has anyone had problems With the Idek monitors, (5017 with A-4000) I complained to my dealer that there was a problem with bowing on top and left side of the window. His suggestion was to go back to the orig video drivers, this only made the prob worse. What confuse me is that when I had my NEC 4FG (left over from my A-3000) hooked up to the A-4000 there was no bowing at all, the display was crisp and sharp, other then AGA probs this was best display I ever seen on a Amiga. Any suggetions????

Have you tried adjusting the "Pincusion" adjustment knob??? (unmarked – to the right of the brightness adjustment). I have a 5217 (same thing but higher refresh rates) and it looks pretty good! How is the color overall, like with a white screen. I have a SLIGHT purple tinge in one corner and ONE black pixel right about in the middle of the screen! I keep trying to erase it!!! / / / //ANDRE

Andre.. There is no Pincusion adj knob on my 5017 that I can find. There are times that I think the colors are kind of drab, but then I'll load up a good quality drawing (1701D.jpg) and the display and colors are great. I think I'm going to have to bypass my dealer and call Idek. I remember a couple of years back Idek monitors were rated Num-1 in one of the top PC Magazines, the next year they fell right off the charts because of some kind of change. Back then there was a lot of advertising by Idek, but not much as late.. Still I would recommend their line of monitors over anything from C=. One other thing is that is that going to the dealers showroom and auditioning any type of gear does not mean the item that comes from the stockroom is going to match the performace of what you have heard or seen.
