Martin,
According to some Matrox info, the MGA (Multimedia Graphics Architecture) has a
price range from $599 to $1699. They said that the higher models can do
realtime 24bit gouraud shading in AutoCAD, with a TI copro and some ASIC custom
chips, which I think are versions of their highest end board (which has or had,
if it's currently shipping, a higher price). They also said that they have
double-buffering and hardware-assisted antialiasing at a max 1600×1200
resolution (not 24 bits but with an special near truecolor quality (?)
dithering). This is only press-info, not real experience. If anybody has more
precise info, please share. These boards seems as the fastest in the market at
a real good price.
