If you are just using your SCSI HA to run your CD-ROM, SCSI-2 or 16 bit should not make a difference, the CD-ROM is going to be the bottleneck. Even the molasses-slow SCSI HA on my PAS 16 will xfer much faster than my Toshiba 3301 CD-ROM… -Bill
