#Mix Maestro mutes

Yeasterday I was using the Mix Maestro to try some automated mixing and
when I tried to automate a mute, I discovered that it was not recorded.
The manuel does not state that mutes can be sequenced, it just seemed like
the most basic of automated mixing functions. Is it true that mutes can
not be sequenced, and if so is there a work around?
If Bars&Pipes Pro does not have this feature, and you plan to
implementit (I hope) you may consider adding a the capability to send a
MIDI switch that could be used by MIDI automation hardware to mute
recorded audio tracks. That switch definition must already be in the
General Midi standard.

Adam is in NY at PC Expo and may not be able to log on for the rest of
the week.
I'm not certain if BRS plans to add automated muting functions or if
there is a workaround for the current program. However, there is already a
switch to mute recorded audio tracks. If you have something like the
Tascam MMC-100 and a Tascam product with a serial port, such as the 688,
you can use the MMC Accessory to control the 688, etc.

You are correct. The effects of the mute buttons are not recorded. The only
events that are recorded are the panning knob and volume slider events. A work
around is to drag the track's slider all the way to the bottom, thereby
silencing the track.

I hope that you can add the mute feature. Dragging the volume slider to
the bottom will not work for me because I am controlling an Alesis D4 drum
module and many tracks share the same Midi channel. I can see where it
might be a problem though since you buffer the Midi output and there is
about a half second delay on the mute buttons. Still I think it is a very
important feature. I was hoping to use B&P Pro as the heart of a
automated mixing system and the lack of a mute makes my work much more
tedious. I have to cut out sections of tracks, and that makes it very hard
to experiment with different mixes.

I understand what you are talking about, because I have an Alesis D4,
as well. It is definitely a good idea if it can be reasonably implemented. I
have passed it on to the relative "powers that be," in order to bring this to
