Hey — I've got a Sony CDU-6101 CD-ROM drive with a Sony controller that I can't get to work. I'm hoping that a newer driver for it will do the trick. (I've already tried the latest MSCDEX.EXE from DOS 6, which didn't help.) Does anybody know if Sony maintains a BBS or a CIS presence where I could download the latest drivers? Or even a phone number at Sony I could call? Thanks, Allen

Larry, Thanks very much for the info! I know I can always count on somebody on CIS helping me out. Allen

We have an internal Sony non-SCSI CDROM (type 31A?) running under DOS, and had a hard disk crash on the machine it is installed in – the crash has graunched the Sony-supplied DOS driver for the CD, and it doesn't seem to be on the driver disks for the sound card (Fusion 16). Does anyone know if this driver is around anywhere on CIS ? ..Thanks heaps…

Thom, I just bought and installed the aformentioned drive in my computer. If you can tell me what the name of the driver file is(I'm not to good at these things) and if it isn't too big, I'd be glad to upload it to you. If you email me the response I'll probably get back to you sooner. I dont visit this forum that often. David Bundesen
