#Misumi and SoundBlaster

Doesanybody know if it is possible to connect the Mitsumi to a Soundblaster? I
do not mean the audio cable but the large flatcable for to drive everything. A
computer dealer told me that it was possible to connect this interface to the
Soundblasterbut from what I heard here the two connectors are not exactly the
same.
Maybe there is somebody who vcan give me the pinning of the flatcable
copnnector of the soundblaster. I have the Mitsumi pinning here.

I don't think so. The Mitsumi has 16 active lines, 20 ground lines, and 4
that have no connections while the Sound Blaster has 19 active lines and 21
ground lines on it's interface.

I read that somewhere in this forum earlier. But does anyone knows the pin
layout of the SoundBlaster CD interface.

P.S. I heard from a friend that he connected a Mitsumi to a SoundBlaster 16ASP
but it was SLOOOW.
But I am going to try this weekend at another friend.

I had the same problem, I can get the cd to play sound through the SBPRO card
by
using an external jumper from the mutsumi RCA jacks to the SB card imput jack .
Loading
up a Windows utility called CDplayer from PC mag,(nov 24,92) to initialize the
driver,the CD
player will play the sounds a CDROM or Video CD makes though the sound blaster.
Even if you
leave windows, as long as you don't boot, the sound works!
You can get the SBPRO card to play a mitsumi cd by using the external
connectors and
adding a /LINE:12 swith to the autoexec.bat line \sbpro\sbp-set /m:nn
………Then it will work
the sound from the i/o card of the cdplayers RCA jacks without having to use a
Windows driver.
