#WINCIM users! Navigator?

If you are a WINCIM user, and perhaps a Navigator user, you may be puzzled by
all this talk about new sections and change sin the Forum. And it may appear
that the messages and files are in really weird categories. That's because you
must manually make the change to your interface program. You must first delete
the CDROM Forum from your program, then re-find the Forum so the interface can
install the new sections and changes!
If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. (And then I'll go find
out!)

In WINCIM the actual steps are to select FORUM DATABASE under the SPECIAL menu,
then delete CDROM. If I recall, just deleting CDROM from favorite places didn't
work.
I found out about WINCIMs strangeness when you added us to CDVEND. One of the
odd things is that DOSCIM handles section changes correctly. ARRRGH!

MacCIM also has no problem with new sections. Wonder if any of these
programmers talk to each other? —- naahhhh….

I don't think your answer was correct in regard to Navigator users. The newer
version of Navigator automatically notes changes in sections and makes the
change automatically. There should be no reason to delete the forum and
re-install it.

That's good news! So – if you have the later versions of Navigator, everyhting
is fine. If you are working with an older version, you may have to take some
additional steps to see the changes in the Forum.

That's my understanding anyway. Even with the old versions all you have to do
is go into the forum header and tell it to update section and library names.
After you've visited the forum two more times it's all correct.
I did get a chance to try the Inmagic demo. It has a lot of features even if
some of them aren't the easiest to understand in the demo. Then again, who
couldn't make a program work when given exact step by step directions. I could
probably build buildings if I was walked thru step by step. <g>
I did find one error in the demo. The instructions didn't match the screen
display and the instructions had us selecting a menu choice which didn't exist.
