I spent my weekend attemtping to set up a Texel CD-Rom with Trantor SCSI cable. After divining that I needed the new driver included with Dos.6, I managed to load drivers and the unit seemed ready to go. When I loaded a CD, I was informed by Musicbox that there was no CD in the unit. I'm utterly at a loss here. The CD is in the unit. I guarantee it. Am I missing something? Help me! I'm dying to use my new Microsoft Bookshelf. Brian Baigrie

Reboot your system with the CD-ROM disc in the drive and see if that works.

I tried out your suggestion with no success, unfortunatey! I'm sure that I've overlooked something small, but at this point I'm utterly frustrated. More suggestions?

Brian…If it's any consolation, I have also been unable to get MusicBox (or any other CDAudio player) to work with my Texel 5024. I've been meaning to call Texel about it. Tell me if you come up with any miracles in the meantime. -Larry
