You can also try Advanced Multimedia Solutions in Seattle. They've produced an
interactive CD based on the best-selling paperback reference "Video Movie Guide
1993" by Mick Martin and Marhsa Porter. It retails for $39.95. You can call
them at 800/626-4105. It's a cool product — I've played with it. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip on the "Video Movie Guide" CD-ROM. The responses I've been
getting make me think that there are a lot of interesting CDs out there that
aren't getting much publicity. I suspect that most people, even those who are
fairly sophisticated computer users, have heard of Cinemania and not much else
(that was the extent of my knowledge before this thread).

I suspect that many sophisticated computer users have not yet found a need for
CD-ROM. The installed base is still fairly small, although Apple predicts an
explosion in that area in the next couple of years.
Cinemania has gotten a lot of press. Many other titles don't have the
marketing muscle behind them that those like Cinemania have.
