This past week I purchased a new TOSHIBA XM-3401B CD-ROM drive, even
though I currently do not have a SCSI controller card. I was "originally"
going to purchase a new Adaptec 1542C, but as I browsed the "Forums" (OS/2,
CD-ROM, Multimedia, etc.) I soon realized that a "Multimedia/Sound Board" would
be a "better" choice. My two hard drives are controlled by the AMI motherboard
"on board" IDE controller so I DON'T really need a SCSI card for "multiple"
devices.
I was just about to order a PRO AUDIO SPECTRUM 16 when I noticed the a
"NEW" and more "featured packed" board: PRO AUDIO STUDIO 16 <=======< is now
available. It is "advertised" as having ALL the features of PA Spectrum 16
–PLUS– many MORE features. I would like to KNOW MORE about the compatibility
of this new board (PA Studio 16) when used WITH OS/2 ver. 2.1 <====< in
addition to MS-DOS 5.0 and MS-WINDOWS 3.1.

Wendell, I suggest you contact some other Media Vision owners on the
Mediavision forum on Compuserve to find our how well the OS/2 support works. To
the best of my knowledge a PRO Audio Spectrum 16 is a the same as a Pro Audio
Studio 16, but the studio comes with additional software and a microphone. GO
MEDIAVISION
Wendell, I have a tosh3401b and PAStudio16 running OS2v2.1 and it works fine.
All the drivers you need come with the PAStudio. Good Luck! If you have any
