I have a Toshiba external CD Player (3401? forgot the number). Anyway, my understanding is that it has a 200 ms access time. My question is, would I see any improvement from using Norton's Speedcache+ or Lightning?

I am confident you will see a significant performance improvement using a cache with your drive. I have a 280ms Mitsumi drive and see substantial improvements in performance when using The Norton Speedcache+. I use Encarta, Cinemania, Bookshelf, Just Grandma & Me and CorelDraw and find noticable improvements on all when using Speedcache+. I work for Symantec and obviously am biased. Detailed information can be obtained in the Norton forum (GO NORTON) and I invite you to ask other users. We also offer a 60 day money back guarantee on all our software. You can find Speedcache+ at most major resellers such as CompUSA, Software Etc., Egghead, etc. FYI. Pat. (Symantec)
